Training is so important to me here at Lorelle Elizabeth Photography. It helps me to continue to improve my skills and the images I create and give to my clients. This month I had the priveledge of attending the Northern Portrait and Newborn Expo in Blackpool where I was trained by the world renowned newborn photographer, Rachel Vanoven.
I have admired Rachel’s work for a few years now and it was so good to see how she worked and learn some great tips that I can put in to practice during my own newborn shoots. The show itself was great and I got some lovely new props and met some lovely and talented photographers from around the uk.
I am really loving newborns at the moment, I just wish I could do more of them. With only two newborn appointments available per week they get booked up so quick. It really is so important to book your appointment as soon as you can, usually when you have been told of your due date. Sessions take place when baby is between 4-14 days old. It is a truly special time and babies grow out of the newborn stage so quickly so I love that I get to capture those memories for clients to keep forever. I will leave you with some photos from the day and one of the photos that Rachel kindly let us take during training.
